Refuge Albert I.Continue along the path and you will now be begin to be able to see seracs of the glacier.
Continuing along the path you will presently come to the moraine of the glacier, if it it early summer there will probably be a fair amount of snow around and you will have to cross some snowfields. There is usually an obvious track to follow. If you are lucky you may spot a marmot in this area. Although they may initally scurry off to their den. If you are quiet and wait a few minutes you may be fortunate enough to get a photograph if they reappear.
After crossing the snowfields there is a final ascent up a thin and rocky path to the hut. Upon reaching the hut you will have a fantastic view of glacier and also the Aiguille de Chardonnet loomimg in the distance.
